Scholarship Opportunities

Looking to study, research, or even teach abroad? Need a scholarship to get there?
The SOP Office facilitates six different prestigious scholarships and grants – Rhodes, Marshall, Fulbright, George Mitchell, Churchill, and Gates Cambridge. Since these scholarships require UCI endorsement, our job is to evaluate and endorse applications on the campus level. To begin the process, complete a pre-application online by 4 p.m. May 1, 2009. There is NO LIMIT to the number of applications UCI may endorse so we encourage all talented students with well-defined study or research plans to apply. SOP staff will guide you throughout the process, the bulk of which occurs in the spring and summer.

Want to be rewarded for your community service?
If you have done extensive community service and are a freshman, sophomore, or junior, the Carpe Diem Foundation Scholarship is for you! Winners receive $1,500 to be used towards tuition, room, board, and books. For more information check out our website or visit www.carpediemfoundation.org. Applications may be submitted to the SOP office for review by 4/14/2009. The final application is due directly to Carpe Diem by 5/12/2009.
