Two positions at the Orange County Chapter of the American Academy of Pediatrics (the professional society for Pediatricians) will be available August 2009.
In the role of Chapter Programs Coordinator you will support a variety of programs including childhood obesity prevention and intervention (PE4Me), early literacy (Reach Out and Read), injury and violence prevention, and continuing medical education.
The School Readiness Nurse (SRN) Program Assistant focuses on the SRN Integration Program. This program supports and provides resources for the SRN’s in Orange County, and strengthens the connection between local pediatricians, schools, and community resources. You will help promote the use of developmental screening tools in community settings.
This is a great opportunity for graduates interested in the health or allied health professions. These full-time, year-long positions are offered as part of the AmeriCorps*VISTA national service program, and come with a housing allowance, living stipend, health coverage, and your choice of an end-of-service education award or stipend.
