The second deadline to apply for the 2009 Teach For America teaching corps is on Friday, November 7th. Teach For America is the national corps that is working to eliminate educational inequality by calling upon our most promising future leaders – recent college graduates of all backgrounds and academic majors – to teach for two years in urban and rural public schools and to become lifelong advocates for change. Teach For America believes that all children deserve the opportunity to attain an excellent education, and students from the University of California, Irvine could be great candidates to fulfill this mission, which is why we are hoping to reach out to as many students from UCI as we can. For this reason, we are having an Information Session at UCI today, October 27th at 5 PM in the UCI Students Center Emerald Bay A Room. Hope to see you there!
