Katie Bordonaro
My name is Katie Bordonaro and I’m a fourth year Biology Major. I can’t wait to meet all of you and help plan a lot of cool events for this upcoming year! I am originally from Apple Valley, a little desert city in Southern California. I love sports, especially basketball and soccer, running, listening to music, CHP events, going for coffee, and meeting new people. I was one of CHSC’s social chairs, a peer mentor, played club soccer for the school. I also do research in a Neuropsychopharmacology lab, and have just started volunteering at Western Medical Center. Feel free to come and talk to me about any of those things or anything at all. I would love to meet you and help you get the most out of your time here at UCI! Over the past four years I have grown to love the campus and I hope you all do too. There are a ton of ways to get involved, and a lot of us here to help you find your way. Good luck and come and visit us in the office!

Ben Gillig
My name is Ben Gillig, and I am a third year Psychology and Social Behavior major with a minor in Management. I am originally from a town in Northern California called Watsonville which is near Santa Cruz (where most strawberries in the world and Martinelli's Sparkling Cider come from). I am very excited to help you get involved on campus and figure out what you want to do academically. I lived in the Shire my first year, and now AV House 1006. I have been honored to work for both Middle Earth and Arroyo Vista Housing, as well as being a UCI Campus Rep ( which means I have tons of UCI-related facts somewhere within my memory). I also participate in research under Dr. Skeem in the School of Social Ecology, where I assist with studies that involve criminal justice and mental health. I really encourage you to get involved in the great activities that CHP has to offer, and please don’t hesitate to let us know if there is any way we can help make this a great year!

Katherine Mackenzie
Hello CHPers! My name is Katherine Mackenzie and I am a fourth year Chemistry and Biology double major. I transferred to UCI midway through my second year and was born and raised in Cupertino, CA. After I graduate from UCI, I plan to attend graduate school and earn my Ph.D. in chemistry and become a researcher in a science- related field at a private company. In addition to CHP, I am a member in the Golden Key Honor Society and conduct undergraduate research. My outside interests include cooking, traveling, going to the beach, reading, and watching really bad reality shows. My advice to my fellow CHPers is don’t be afraid to make mistakes, because you learn more about yourself than if you’re too cautious to take a chance.
